Eating Out – Top Ten “Healthy” Chains

I came across this article the other day, and it impressed me so much that I emailed it to myself to reference.  It lists the top ten healthiest fast food chains and good menu choices.  I’m a major health nut, so I think it’s important for people (dieting or not) to be aware of what you put into your body.  However, I’m also a big Foodie, and eating out doesn’t always lend itself to healthy choices.

Here is another one for the worst restaurants that will help you in tougher situations:

This article is interesting for people to know, but especially useful for people dieting (maybe for a special occasion, or a wedding…) because the hardest part about dieting is giving up that social factor.  You can’t have a successful diet if you deprive yourself of yummy food and nights out with friends.  A “diet” should not be a span of time, it should be your daily eating habits and if you pick and choose the nights you’ll splurge it’ll be a lot easier to follow a healthy, low-fat diet in between.  Personally, I like to splurge whenever I’m trying a new restaurant so I can get a realistic idea about the menu.  However, eating out in general doesn’t have to be your splurge – the places listed in the article are very popular restaurants, so when you visit them you can use the tips to make better decisions and still enjoy tasty food.  This article is more than a guide to the ten restaurants, though – the “survival tips” are extremely useful to all of your fast food/nights eating out.

However, I don’t care what it says about McDonalds.

Is it just me, or some people just too greedy?

I came across this article last night, and thought I share if with you. Bottom line, you made a bed, now sleep on it. $43 million for 7 years work, that’s not a bad pay off my dear lady, if you cut back a little you can stretch this windfall (wonder if its taxable) a number of years, before you re-marry again. Be sure to ask for more next time…. aim higher because a million isn’t what it use to be, ask the Hunt Brothers.
